RDF Canada mobilized hospital beds, blankets, medical gowns, and other essential supplies to support hospitals in Tigray. Unfortunately, due to the armed conflict at the time, we were unable to deliver them to the intended locations. While some supplies expired during extended storage, we ensured the hospital beds and blankets were donated locally to avoid waste and offset high storage costs.
The Raya region continues to face a severe shortage of medical aid and facilities. Women and young children are especially vulnerable to treatable diseases that persist simply due to lack of access. RDF Canada is committed to working alongside the people of Raya, local government agencies, and our partners to improve the availability and quality of medical centers in the region. We believe that health is a foundation for dignity, and we will continue advocating for equitable access to care.
